ONE DEFENCE

The Security & Estate Group [SEG] protects and advances Defence's strategic interests through the provision of security services, estate services and infrastructure delivery.

OPPORTUNITY

The Department of Defence continues to drive transformation across the enterprise, including an important cultural shift toward One Defence via common values and behaviours. The Security and Estate Group [SEG] are seeking to continue to play a key role in the organisation's cultural shift via the development of a new Culture Plan 2022-2025 for the Group.

SOLUTION

The way this Culture Plan was developed and the priority actions identified lay the foundation for the significant shift in culture the Group intends to make. All staff were encouraged to share their ideas. A tiger team of around 45 volunteers was established, representing the diverse roles, backgrounds and levels of the Group. This tiger team considered staff ideas and co designed a new Culture Plan 2022-2025. That Works facilitate the co design of the new Culture Plan, integrating innovation and leading global research and insights.
